Weber Maschinenbau holds summer reception
Roughly 100 invitees – representatives from politics and business, as well as traders in Breidenbach – accepted the municipality's invitation and experienced an evening with interesting conversations and informative programme: after opening speeches by Mathias Dülfer, Managing Director of Weber Maschinenbau and Christoph Felkl, Mayor of the municipality of Breidenbach, Hesse's Minister of Finance Dr Thomas Schäfer's keynote speech focused on the influence of demographic change on the region's economic development. Schäfer, who is from the region himself, emphasised the entrepreneurial commitment of Weber Maschinenbau as a positive example, and praised the courage and inventiveness of the company.
After the ceremonial speeches and a summer dinner from the barbecue buffet, many guests used the opportunity to participate in a tour of the company, including a cutting demonstration. In five groups led by representatives of Weber's management and department heads, the guests learned a lot of interesting facts about the various working areas of the 500 Weber employees at the location. The recently opened incoming goods hall was a casual and festive backdrop for the summer reception. The roughly 2500 square metres of the new production and office spaces were officially commissioned just three weeks previously.
